Cost:
$200.00 Interactive Online Course For four years we have been teaching online courses in the use of multimedia arts in worship. These courses have taught students how to build support for the use of technology in worship, how to reflect on the "language" of multimedia in distinction to oral print languages already in use in worship, and how to begin using film, photography, popular cd music, and other artistic resources of culture to serve the Gospel in worship. Through an arrangement with the University of Dubuque Theological Seminary, we are able to offer a four-week online learning experience that includes learning assignments, discussion forums, and evaluations of your work. You may register as individuals or as teams of persons from the same church or group. Credit towards college and seminary credit may be negotiated. Cost: $350.00 How to register: Email your interest, specifying whether you want to enroll in the Distance Learning or Online Course to: mgb103@hotmail.com. Doctor of Ministry The University of Dubuque Theological Seminary Doctor of Ministry degree program is focused on Congregational Revitalization - The Pastor as Leader. This D.Min. is unique with its emphasis on congregational revitalization and the leadership role of the pastor. It is both practical and theoretical: practical in that it is based in the local congregation and attempts to identify concrete leadership tools for the pastor; theoretical in that it is rooted in the classical theological disciplines of the church. Each entering class becomes a cohort group that will remain together throughout the duration of the program. Two faculty members organize and provide the leadership for the three years of seminar work. Additional resource persons will be invited to share as appropriate. The three-year program consists of three two-week seminars and a doctoral project. Both pre- and post-class work are required for the seminars. Courses are held the second two weeks in May on the UDTS campus or at another site. For further information visit www.udts.dbq.edu |
